Culture Cuts

At the center of Culture Cuts is the intersection of cultural diversity and electronic music. German-born, now Aarhus-based DJ Rafa Berlinson selects a different non-western region of the world for each show, highlighting local producers and DJs as well as the Diaspora and their influence on the local (and sometimes on the global) music scene. From energetic Afro House and futuristic East Asian techno tunes to hypnotic oriental house and Arabian funk records, each show delves into the rich world of global interpretations of electronic music. ‍ Rafa Berlinson started publicly DJing in 2019 and has since worked with a variety of international DJs and artists including the Syrian-led Beatroots collective in Germany, DJ Hoodcat from L.A. (who hosts the Alleycats Radio Show) and many others.
